Тем временем посол Ирака в Египте Хабиб ас-Садр заявил о том, что Багдад надеется на роль России в послевоенном восстановлении страны после победы над террористической группировкой "Исламское государство"*.

"Мы надеемся, что Москва протянет руку помощи нам в восстановлении освобожденных районов… Прошли важные встречи, на них обсуждалось сотрудничество во многих сферах, в том числе роль России в период после ИГ*. Российская сторона приветствовала предложение Ирака основать иракско-российский деловой форум", - пояснил он (цитата по РИА "Новости".

"Наши отношения с Россией отличаются хорошей координацией и сотрудничеством, есть четырехсторонняя координация между Россией, Турцией, Ираном и Ираком, которая направлена на обмен информацией в войне с терроризмом и отслеживание передвижений террористов", - добавил дипломат.

9 декабря премьер-министр Ирака Хайдер Аль-Абади объявил о том, что страна "полностью освобождена" от террористов ИГ*. Тогда же он пояснил, что вооруженные силы Ирака взяли под контроль пустынные районы на западе, а также участок сирийско-иракской границы, контролировавшиеся боевиками.

При этом ранее спецслужбы ЕС предупреждали, что такой статус не избавляет страны от атак террористов "местного разлива". В конце ноября ИГ* взяло ответственность за теракт с 17 жертвами на юго-востоке Багдада.

В середине ноября иракская армия объявила о взятии города Рава, который называли последним бастионом террористов в стране. Разведка утверждала, что из Равы сотни боевиков ИГ* бежали в Сирию
